This will probably be the most revealing posts I’ve ever done , but since I started this way with you , I assumed that it was only fair that I at the end of it you will too!
My Top Picks in Workout for Women
If you’ve been following me here or through social media, you know that I started 30 Day Shred last month. At first I wanted to do is to prepare yourself for a more intense workout P90X … because, let ‘s face it , I was not in shape , so long and needed something a little less intense my first time. 30 Day Shred a little less than half an hour, do not stop cardio , strength, and ABS … while P90X workouts like for an hour … I certainly was not for that just yet.
I finished 30 days ago , and I have to say that it was one exercise that I actually looked forward to doing …. ever. I have tried other workout videos and series in the past, but always be super bored with them. 30 Day Shred everything changes every 10 days, and there’s just something I like Jillian Michaels . She is like a friend, I would hang out with , and motivating at the same time .
So before I get into my before and after photos , I wanted to explain my goals for this . I did not go into this wanting to lose weight. I just wanted to tone up and get rid of all these “extra thick” bits , especially around my mid section . It has big hips always been a problem for me, and get rid of those ” love handles ” series was constant tion – a hope -In-Sight task. Thus, it was my main question that I wanted to do. I also just wanted to get a little stronger all around, and let me tell you … I feel a hundred times better than before I started. I could not have bulging biceps or a lot of muscle definition yet, but it’s crazy how I can actually bend the leg and now feel that it is rock hard.
The first few days were kind of a little torture for me. I was so strong in a few days. It’s so funny to think about now, but I seriously could not even make a single move without my rope calves feeling that they were going to crash. For those who do not know what it is, it’s basically just jumping up and down continuously for 30 seconds or so, as if you were missing . I could not strike their feet all the way up to my ass , if you make an example of his feet. I could barely do one push-up . Having mastered the levels 1 , 2 and 3 had a strange confidence booster … because of this going to be able to do all the training all the way to the end ( and correctly ! ) huge !
As I said , I did not do it to lose weight, so I ‘m not sure what my “before” weight was and when I actually lost a pound , but looking at the pictures, I realize that what I did was so worth it. I really hate scales, and do not think they should be used regularly or to measure your success . For me at least, they are de – motivator. If I see that the number went up a few pounds , I feel as if I should give up, or that’s what I’m doing is not working. If you gain muscle you can also gain weight, which can do some amazing things in a woman’s head . The proof is in the photographs are not to be considered. I lost a lot of ” flab ” around my waist and lower abdomen . My main denser, my legs are a million times stronger , and best of all I am happier . Only after developing for 30 days , I would say that the changes (physically and mentally ) is pretty strange.
I really recommend this training to anyone who is looking to get a small increase in exercise. Just do it. 30 days from now you ‘ll look back and see the results … just remember to take a picture (it seriously helps so much). You can view the full level 1 routine on YouTube. You do level 1 for 10 days , Level 2 for 10 days, then the third level in the last 10 days.
I moved to the other workouts Jillian , 6 weeks of a six pack , and I’m even more excited to see where I’ll be next month! I still have a little ways to go to get to where I really want to be. I started it today, and will keep you posted, and I hope some of you will join me in getting in shape!
* Update : April 30, 2013 : I started 30 Day Shred again the second time around ! I’ll be posting about these results , as well as my experience with the 6 weeks 6 Pack in the near future , so stay tuned and subscribe to my blog if you’re interested !
