The cast of Strictly Come Dancing upped sticks and took time out of their schedules dance in the afternoon to join the party strictly scientific and fashion designer Julien Macdonald show for his London Fashion Week. It was almost like it was a pop-up version of the television program – both on and off the catwalk.
After all, if there’s any designer for creating dresses to dance in his Julien Macdonald – a man for whom life without the shimmer and shine, glitter, vanity and dazzle does not exist. It will do well, though, to ease the silhouettes and cut a length of a little naked web and mosaic-husky dresses we saw today – a good four models of all the forces trying to walk in the skirts of the fitting room, lifting them as they went.
It was – appropriate because of its stay on Strictly ‘- a total brilliance and high octane: gold and nude, pale pink satin, silver beads, transparent and surging trains, dresses fit for Ginger Rogers around 2014.
